Oakwell Hall is a Grade I Listed Elizabethan manor house, furnished as a family home of the 1690s, complete with its own mysterious ghost. Oakwell Hall was also visited by Charlotte Bronte in the 1830s and it was immortalised as 'Fieldhead' in her 1849 novel 'Shirley'.

YRC attended a new show and venue near Leeds on August 31st (2025).
A joint effort between Wetherby and Leeds MG Owners car clubs.
This was well organized, men in hi viz jackets directing participants from the A63,
into the venue and efficiently marshalling cars on site etc.
Excellent on site facilities provided by the Milk Churn Café and mobile burger van. Much to see and great day out, see below

Oh No! it's the Rover P4s Doctor, they are coming to take over the World!

And Finally!
Crow Nest Park Show in Dewsbury Sunday 5th Oct 2025
This is always a well attended show, as it is the last one of the season, for most classic car owners. It could however of been a complete disaster because the weather on the 2 preceding days was really quite awful with the rain and the wind. Things didn't look good, but luck was on our side and we couldn't of wished for a better day for what turned out to be a very good end of season show.
I think the attendance was understandably a bit lower than usual, but nevertheless there was a great collection of classic cars on show. As for the YRC out of a possible 20 members who said they wanted to attend 13 went along and we had a really good display of Rovers on our club stand, which consisted of 1 Rover P2, 3 Rover P4s, 3 Rover P5Bs and 6 Rover P6s.
